TRIXIE, MY FAVORITE PONY PAINTING

by

Please feel free to explore my paintings for inspiration, but note the artwork you are viewing is copyright to Emily Carlson, and She Paints For Ponies.

The artwork measures 16″ x 20″ with a .75″ profile.

You’ll find a supplies used list towards the end of this post.

Although I LOVE all of my pony paintings, Trixie is by far my favorite pony painting.

She and I have sentimental value. Is that what I should call it?

Trixie hangs in my art space at home, and she’s a piece I can’t separate from, but I do have other options for her available that I can share below.

Trixie is an adorable pony I created on canvas with acrylic paints and paint pen markers.

One of my favorite parts of Trixie is the way her mane flows.

It actually reminds me of my pony Mixie and how her mane looks after it’s been freshly brushed out, big and fluffy.

I also appreciate the color combination I used on this one with the pink, teal, and blue, making the brown pony still feel whimsical.

Paint Markers were a star tool, with all the detailing and drawing with the background flower details, little dots, and lines.

If Trixie was available to purchase, you would find her under the Original Pony  category of my art collections.

As for Trixie prints, digital downloads are available to print in sizes 5″ x 7″ or 8″ x 10″.

You can learn how digital downloads work HERE.

I also offer enhanced prints adhered to a wood panel in the sizes of 4″ x 6″, 5″ x 7,” 8″ x 10″, and 11″ x 14″. Enhanced means I do a bit of hand painting over print.

You can learn how I create wood panel prints in my post, ENHANCED GICLEE PRINTS ADHERED TO WOOD PANELS.

As for products, Trixie can be found on a MUG at Society 6.

During the holidays, I offer a few handmade ornaments using her image.

You can find available Trixie products and my artwork options HERE. or please inquire for more information.

You can find these supplies at most art supply retailers. My top shops are Blick Art Materials and Amazon for the best deals.

How cute are these two? Trixie and Mixie! See that fluffy mane.
