REVIEW: THE NEW PET-FRIENDLY AND WASHABLE AREA RUG FOR THE LIVING ROOM

I decided that since we now have all seven cats, life might be a little bit easier if I swapped out our area rugs with some washable ones.

I also thought some new rugs would be a fun and easy way to add additional pops of color around the house.

There are so many gorgeous patterns, colors, brands, and materials to choose from, and took a gamble by purchasing two from Amazon.

One of the rugs I love, and one is just OK.

Thankfully, the one I love is the largest of the two and in the living room, and I’ll give you a review of it in this post.

As for the second and smaller area rug, the one that’s just ok, I purchased it for the master bathroom, and I’ll share why I don’t like that one at the end of this post.

The washable and pet friendly rug I decided on for the living room is the MCADORE 8×10 area rug in Indigo/Floral.

It has a pretty print with mixes of soft pinks, blues, and creams.

The back has a textured coating that enhances the grip of the carpet so it doesn’t slide around.

The rug has soft faux cashmere fibers, that are fluffy and soft on the feet.

It almost feels like a bathrobe, but don’t let me scare you with that comment because it doesn’t shed any fuzzies.

Everyone who has visited comments how good it feels.

The rug came folded in a box, so I was worried about creases, but once I laid it out on the floor, everything settled nicely.

I haven’t had to wash this rug yet, but apparently, it can be washed in a machine with suitable power for cleaning rugs of this size.

As for small spills, they clean up easily.

The cats are enjoying their lounge time on this area rug, and I’ve had no issues with them scratching their claws on it, which was another concern I had.

Amazon has a ton of options for washable and pet-friendly rugs at different price ranges. but I’ll definitely buy from MCADORE brand again when I need to replace this one in the future.

It was also affordable, under $200.00, actually I even scored it ON SALE and only paid $124.00!

If you’re wondering about that smaller area rug I purchased for the master bathroom, I mentioned at the beginning of this post when I said I purchased two.

It is this OHWPEAT 5×7 vintage rug in cream white.

The creases were SO hard to remove. I had to put weights on them to flatten areas.
The pattern looks printed on.
It’s cushy, but not soft like the one mentioned above.

It’s fine for the master bath, but I would not purchase an OHWPEAT Area Rug again.
